History:
A real World War II bunker is on the grounds. This was one of the four Italian machine gun blocks on La Raguette beach that were attached to the Château de La Napoule in October 1943.

The Château de La Napoule belongs to the La Napoule Henry Clews Memorial Art Association (the avenue bears his name). Henry and his wife, Marie Clews, acquired, restored, and, most importantly, expanded the building, which existed from 1918 until the 1930s, ultimately creating the château we know today.
The château welcomes artists throughout the year who exhibit their works and are housed in the pink villa located directly across the street from the château.

Only six villas on Rue de la Plage have seafront views, two of which belong to French billionaires.
One of the villas is known to have been owned by the famous French singer Charles Aznavour.
